Objective

KAUST introduced another Telecom Exchange Facility to improve redundancy and resiliency for all external connectivity, including Internet and Research collaboration. However, to maximize the current and future infrastructure, KAUST introduced a 7-way Microduct system along with Microfiber, which almost doubled and futureproofed the existing infrastructure while providing a diverse full mesh Optical Fiber connectivity between all Core sites/Data Centers within KAUST.

KAUST partnered with Duraline FuturePath for the Microduct and Corning MiniXtend for the Microfiber.
